How do you know someone won.t just post as Chris...like I just did? Maybe there are more than one?

Of course someone could just post as Chris Pirillo, but why would someone do that? Also, I agree that there could be more than one "Chris Pirillo". But only one, the former host of Call For Help and the author of Lockergnome, is the one that the effect would work on.
That BlogPulse is a pretty cool little website. Yeah, the spike right around the 29th sure looks like Tiger to me, but what about the surge as of the 16th of May?

Is that anything like the Robert Scoble effect where you mention Robert Scoble in your blog and he comes to your house and shows you his Tablet PC?
Maybe in about a week or so, you can post a story or comment about how there's no way I'll receive a million dollars...I'll give you a cut.
Well I've got to go, I need to stop by Walgreens and get some anti-biotics...I sleep with one hooker and now I've got a case of the "Pirillos".

I'm still trying to figure out how Chris Pirillo first appeared in my inbox.
Still, for the record, it is possible to post on heavily traveled sites like SW Forum and not have Chris Pirillo appear.
I think they have a Chris Pirillo repelling force field.

I experienced the Pirillo Effect. He was very polite, and cleaned up after himself. I hear Bill Gates leaves chewed up pieces of competitors ground into your carpet. Definitely use Scotchgard before invoking the Bill Effect.

I think the key here is Technorati. If he searches for his name, it will pull up every blog posting that includes it, arranged by most recent, or authority. Easy enough! He's jsut brave enough to post to most of the blogs that mention him :)

Yes, I'm sure technorati plays a huge role as does pupsub and icerocket and many others. Thats what I use to find who is calling me an asshole at this very moment.
What I'm saying is I think the 2nd key, is thats its a funny article based on an exaggerated premise, which in some cultures, is called a joke. :)
(Note that the smiley face is present that implies I'm still joking and to help me not sound like an ass.)
